Special attention among visitors and participants attracted speeches by N.P. Zemna (Zubytska), a phytotherapist and healer; N.V. Miroshnichenko, MD, professor, head of the Department of Alternative Medicine of the S.I. Georgievsky Crimea State Medical University; E.V. Gorova, candidate of medical sciences, associate professor of the Department of Alternative Medicine of the S.I. Georgievsky Crimea State Medical University; E.V. Nedilko, product manager of the LLC Euro Lifecare; I.S. Chekman, MD, professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine; T.P. Garnyk, MD, professor, director of the State Enterprise Committee on Folk and Alternative Medicine of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine; T.I. Gertsyuk, candidate of biological sciences, associate professor and the leading specialist of the State Enterprise Committee on Folk and Alternative Medicine of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Activities on the main exhibition platform also drew attention and proved to serve as an extra promotional zone for exhibitors to present their companies, carry out public consultations, express tests, mini lectures, and practical demonstrations of the new technologies as well of as services and products. Despite the fact that the exhibition took place rather untimely for beekeepers – they collected a new season’s honey – yet V.K. Dyachenko, V.N. Gromovoy and A.N. Kobtsev, members of the Guild of Honeymakers of Ukraine, presented their honey products. Even though the time frame given to set up the exhibition was very short the organizers carried out a two-month intensive promotion campaign, involving the outdoor advertising, Internet resources, advertising in metro and print media, e-mail distribution of the event invitations, ran commercials on the screens in the International Exhibition Center and in Kyiv supermarkets, distributed entry tickets during conferences, seminars, meetings, subject-related exhibitions held in Kyiv since the beginning of 2010. As a result the number of exhibitors who displayed their products at stands has reached 73 companies! The products and services were represented not only by the companies from Kyiv and regions but also from Russia, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Exhibitors shared their experiences which developed into new practical ideas and provided a basis for fruitful business contacts and further mutual cooperation. Raised visitor activity around exhibition stands always makes the organizers and exhibitors inspired since it means the goal has been achieved. Yet it turned to be quite uneasy to single out the most visited stand afterwards. The increased number of visitors was observed practically at every exhibition stand which once again revealed the high interest among people towards the issues of health preservation and care. Services offered by the centers of folk and alternative medicine as well as original health care programs presented by the companies which applied such programs were met with unconcealed interest – visitors made their appointments for the medical examination long beforehand! Charitable creative and health-giving classes in clay held under the original Lepota Program of P.Kornienko in Dzhey’rela Master Studio had a tremendous success: anyone could not only buy the thematic materials, souvenirs and order the individual items out of wet clay but also take active part in the process! Exhibitors could be differentiated in many ways since health belongs to the sphere which is of interest for anyone. It is not therefore a surprise that most of the exhibits are directed to meet the needs of a final user. However, both professionals and wholesale buyers could find things to their liking at the stands of the producers and importers of goods and equipment. During four working days over 1500 persons attended the exhibition, 38% out of them were medical workers, 15% – professionals directly interested in searching and expanding business contacts. We expect that the rest of the visitors have also realized their goals and got answers to the most important questions: how to preserve health, prevent a disease and what methods to apply for treatment.
We would like to express our sincere thanks for the warm and kind words our exhibitors and visitors revealed to the organizer, for their comments and wishes! Indeed, your opinion and critical remarks have a great value for us, and we will do our best to take them into account during preparation to the next exhibition. We greatly appreciate your concern and participation in this event.
